Seasonal celebrations
Come and walk the sacred wisdom of the Wheel Of The Year and let nature be your guide to greater wholeness and wellbeing.
The wheel of the year brings together the ancient Celtic, Nordic and Pagan celebrations which mark the turning points of the year and honour our connection with nature and its cycles. This encompasses the solstices, the equinoxes, and the midpoints in between them. By walking the wheel, we learn about the cycles we have in our own lives and how we can find balance by aligning to nature’s rhythms. This is in stark contrast to our fast-paced modern lifestyles which offer no time to rest or release what no longer serves.
These seasonal celebrations give us chance to pause, reflect, give thanks and make conscious changes in our lives before the wheel turns again. During the lighter half of the year, these are one-day celebrations (Beltane to the Autumn Equinox) and during the darker half of the year these are half-day celebrations (Samhain to the Spring Equinox).
The agenda is carefully crafted to reflect the season and it’s teachings but will always include nourishing food, great coffee and herbal teas, meditation, gentle movement, journaling, time just be-ing in the woods and a gift. We often also invite a guest collaborator to help us go deeper on our seasonal soul journeys.
We keep our prices low so these events remain afforable and have concessionary places available. Do get in touch if you would like to discuss concessionary places.

“Look deep into nature and you will understand everything better.”
― Einstein
“All I can say is magic! There was something about sitting around the fire, maybe Cacao Mastery. It was so beautiful a lovely feeling of belonging! Thank you for a wonderful day in the woods. The experience was amazing and meeting everyone was more than I could have imagined. I can’t wait for the next gathering”
Our next celebration – The Autumn Equinox (Mabon)!
The autumn equinox (Mabon) is a celebration of the second harvest, of thanksgiving and a time to prepare for the coming darkness of winter. As an equinox, it represents the balance of light and dark and we will be working with these seasonal energies to find more balance in our own lives, honouring what is abundant and reflecting upon what we many need to reap in order to achieve the intentions we sowed earlier in the year.
You will be guided through meditation, mindful movement, ritual, nature craft, journaling, time just “be-ing” in the forest and fire-cider making (which you’ll take home as a gift). We also welcome sound healer Amanda Tilbury who will use drumming to help us find balance and shift into the rhythm of autumn energies.
At all of our woodland workshops you will:
-
- Find time to pause, be still and listen
- Deepen your connection to nature’s rhythms
- Develop your journey of personal and spiritual development
- Be empowered to create a life full of meaning and purpose
- Meet a community of like-minded people
More information and what to expect
Itinerary: Each workshop has a different focus to correspond to the earth festival being celebrated and the changing seasons. A detailed itinerary will be sent after booking. However, you will enjoy common threads throughout the series with an emphasis on meditation, mindful movement, ritual, nature craft, journaling, and time just “be-ing” in the forest. We use sound and silence to deepen the sense of connection and always have a gift for you to take home to anchor the intentions you have set during the day.
Location: Our workshops take place at The Wise Woods project within a magical woodland near Corsham and Box in Wiltshire. We have access to shelter and the warmth of a firepit. We also have use of compost toilets and plenty of parking. We’ll be joined by many woodland friends so aim to keep light and noise disturbance to a minimum for their enjoyment as well as ours.
Timing: Wherever possible, our seasonal celebrations take place on the nearest Sunday before the turning point. They run from 10am until 4pm during the lighter months (Beltane to Autumn Equinox) and from 12.30-4.30pm during the darker months (Samhain to the Spring Equinox). Celebrations can be attended as a one-off event or as a year-long / on-going journey. There will be a cumulative benefit by attending multiple events but simply attending one celebration will still bring great benefit and the potential for transformation. The Wheel of the Year is cyclical so there is no defined starting point and you are welcome to join us at any point. Every time we walk the wheel, we spiral deeper and see this as an on-going, life long journey of self and spiritual development.
Food and drink: We offer hearty, healthy, seasonal, and earth-loving vegetarian foods and will have tea, coffee and soft drinks available throughout the day. Should you have any additional dietary requirements, just let us know in advance.
Group size: Our workshops are kept deliberately small to create a safe, supportive and transformational environment of like-minded people. We are initially releasing just 12 tickets.
Price: Minimum donation of £65 per person for the full day workshops (Beltane to the Autumn Equinox) and £45 for the half day celebrations (Samhain to the Spring Equinox). The price includes all refreshments, nourishing snacks, activities and a gift to anchor intentions from the day. The full day celebrations also include a generous and delicious vegetarian lunch and we can cater for all dietary needs. We want everyone to be able to come and enjoy our events and keep our costs low so that our prices remain low. However, if you can’t afford the minimum donation, get in touch with us to find out about our concessionary places. We want everyone to be able to come and enjoy our events.
